History of Diwali!

You know little bit about Diwali?  Heard first time about Diwali? Just have a quick look to what is Diwali? Now you know in brief about Diwali and let move ahead to know about history about Diwali..

Diwali is known as Festival of Lights like other festivals it also has history connected to it.

As it is Festival of Lights means it's celebration of victory of light over dark or good over evil, 

In Indian mythology, epic grantha named Ramayan, this is a story of God Ram. He was Maryada Purushottam his whole life devoted to one Lady his wife Sita. Ramayan is popular for it story about  Ram-Sita ( Life dedicated to one person) , Ram- Hanuman ,Ram-Lakshman ( Two brothers love), Ram- Ravan ( Battle of Good vs Bad).

King Ram returns his kingdom after 14 years of Vanvas during this period he defeated Ravan the evil who kidnapped Sita ( most beautiful and charismatic lady of that time) and wanted to make his wife . Celebration in Ayodhya, Kingdom of King Ram returns after 14 year. Whole kingdom is enlighten by series of Diya (Here Diya represents lights). From then during Diwali people makes Diya, light at door steps. Make Rangoli.

After Diwali New year starts in Hindi calendar Kartik months starts.In present time people celebrates Diwali by wearing new clothes.prepare sweet,Namkeen, buy fireworks.

This year diwali is coming at the end of October. So start planing how you would celebrate your diwali.
